Young Pigeon Feather Macro Photographs
These black-and-white photographs feature feathers from a baby pigeon, captured using a macro lens. The tiny feathers, no bigger than a thumbnail, are magnified to reveal intricate details. The final image in the series resembles a delicate fish skeleton with fine, bone-like structures, rather than a pigeon feather.
For those interested in baby pigeons, or squabs, the online publication ‘Bird Fact’ offers excellent articles. You can also explore more of my bird feather photography, including works documenting found feathers, as well as experimental pieces that play with patterns and pareidolia.
