Monochrome Botanical Creations

This series of photographs showcases a twisted flower vine, transformed through a kaleidoscopic effect. I started with a single image – the first one featured in this post – and experimented by duplicating, mirroring, and assembling it into various patterns. The result is a visually striking collection of monochrome botanical creations, part of a broader body of experimental work. If you enjoy these, you’ll find similar creations in other journal entries.

For those interested in botanical art and illustration, the ‘Botanical Art and Artists’ website is a valuable resource. Their ‘Botanical Artists in Australia and New Zealand’ page highlights contemporary artists providing endless inspiration.

I explore and document urban and natural environments, often focusing on reflections, shadows, and patterns. My camera walks allow me to capture found objects and scenes that tell stories through everyday details. In my journal, I share these explorations and offer a glimpse into my process.
