Peace Lily Monochrome Photos
The Peace Lily monochrome photos in this post are part of my ongoing study on decay and death. I often search my garden for specimens to document, and I was thrilled to find this Peace Lily. The textured spike of the flower, known as the Spadix, immediately caught my attention, and I had to photograph it. Choosing the right lens for capturing its unique texture was easy – my trusty macro lens.
In addition to its fascinating texture, I was curious to observe how the Peace Lily would decay. I began documenting its decomposition, using the macro lens to capture the intricate details as the flower gradually broke down. The Spadix became the main focal point of the process, so most of the images in this post feature that part of the flower.
Did you Know the Peace Lily is a Great Houseplant?
The Peace Lily is not only a beautiful plant but also a popular Feng Shui choice. According to various articles, it’s excellent for improving indoor air quality, making it a thoughtful gift idea- perhaps even for Christmas!
