Self Service 24-Hour Laundromats
This black-and-white photography series captures the simple, everyday scenes of self-service 24-hour laundromats. The first two photos document coin-operated laundromats in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail a township in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The final image was taken in 2012 during a holiday in Siem Reap – Cambodia, featuring a similar laundromat setup. Laundromats in Kuala Lumpur are popular due to their 24-hour access, allowing people to do their weekly washing while enjoying free Wi-Fi and snacks from nearby restaurants.
“It’s great that it’s open 24 hours so we can come and wash the laundry when it isn’t so packed,” one visitor commented.
