Urban Photography of Desordre Boutique’s Window Display
While strolling through the James Street precinct, I captured some impromptu urban photography of Desordre Boutique’s window display. This series highlights the gorgeous Anemone Noir gown in the window, which drew me in with its intricate lace. In the second photo, I played with my framing, using a shallow depth of field to blur the lace and focus on the Moss Black gown in the background.
The display also featured beautiful long crystal earrings, sleek black slingback shoes, and a bold red velvet choker—too striking not to photograph. I noticed the boutique’s name reflected in a parked vehicle outside, which caught my attention. Given my love for reflections in my work, I included this image to showcase the store’s name while adding an urban touch to the scene.
