Repeating Pattern Artwork: Mindscapes
Each of these three black-and-white images started with a single photograph, all captured using a macro lens. I enjoy exploring ideas by mirroring images to create repeating pattern artworks.
The workflow is entirely manual with no AI tools involved. It often takes several iterations to achieve a design I’m happy with. The crafting process itself brings me joy, and the resulting patterns frequently surprise me.
This series is called Mindscapes. The first photo is of a garlic clove with its outer peel intact. The second features a Pterocarpus indicus seed pod, and the final image began with a photo of mushroom gills.
