Bird Feather [Diptych] Black and White Artwork
This journal entry features black-and-white artwork of a baby bird’s feather presented as a diptych. Part of an ongoing series documenting found feathers, this piece studies movement. A macro lens was used to capture the delicate details of the tiny pigeon’s white feather. The artwork is created by mirroring and flipping the original photo, with the final image as an inverse, transforming the feathers from white to black.
Working with found feathers is a recurring theme in my practice. For more abstract feather imagery including pareidolia-inspired works visit this link.
